CPL Class

About:
The concealed pistol license class has two sections—a classroom presentation via PowerPoint and a “live fire” shooting section at the range. After completing section 1, you will meet the class at the shooting range. For most classes, we shoot on a separate day to make it easier for students to focus and give their complete attention. As a result of this class, you will have a basic understanding of firearms, understand firearm safety, and understand the legal aspects of carrying a gun in Michigan. *Before you purchase, please understand:

• There are no refunds for the concealed pistol license class, but we will work with you to reschedule if you cannot make it, and, 
• We reserve the right to cancel the class and reschedule you for the next available date you can attend. Reschedules may happen because of public safety (COVID concerns, etc.), small classes, or facility problems. Or any other need to move the class.

Suppose you desire to carry a concealed firearm in Michigan. In that case, you must take a state-mandated concealed pistol license class before applying for your Michigan CPL (Concealed Pistol License)with your county clerk’s office.

This concealed pistol license class complies with Michigan State Code: Section 5 (J) of 1927 PA372.

The course is eight hours long and includes classroom instruction and a 30-round shooting qualification conducted at the range. As a result of completing this CPL class, the student will present their certificate of completion to the county clerk’s office and complete the application process to obtain their Michigan CPL. In-Person Cost:
$99 class / $14 range fee (paid directly to the range)
$25 Gun Rental Available (if you do not bring a firearm) *Must be 21 years old.

Time:
One Day CPL Class – Eight hours, 5 hours of classroom, and 3 hours of range activities.

Classes are held in Livonia, MI. unless otherwise noted.

Online CPL Cost:
$80 class / $20 range fee (paid directly to the range)
$25 Gun Rental Available (if you do not bring a firearm) *Must be 21 years old.

*The classroom portion of the class is held on Zoom in 1-2 sessions. Then we meet at the range at a later date to fulfill the live range portion of the class

Intensity:
Relaxed, but your total focus is needed.

Requirements:
1. You must be 20 years or older with a Michigan ID, but you must be 21 to get a CPL.
2. Firearm, if you own one, but we have firearms for rent for $25.

3. Ammunition, You will need a minimum of 30 rounds.

Recommended:
A way to take notes. A Notepad and pen or devices are ok, for instance.
