Concealed Weapons Permit Class

This Concealed Weapons Permit class is for anyone desiring to carry a concealed firearm in South Carolina. This is the state-mandated course needed to apply for your South Carolina CWP, also known as a Concealed Weapons Permit.

The seven to eight-hour course includes classroom instruction, a written exam, and a shooting qualification conducted at the shooting range.

If you wish to carry a firearm to protect yourself and your family from the evil in this world, this is where you begin. Being proficient with your firearm requires ongoing training, so the CWP class is just the beginning. However, all classes and instructors are not the same. Prerequisites:

1. Basic handgun knowledge
2. Previous shooting experience
3. Positive attitude
4. Willingness to learn

*If you do not have shooting experience, we recommend you take a single private instruction class prior to registering for a CWP class

Cost:

$85 (Instruction, written test, and range qualification)

Monday-Saturday Classes:
8:00am-1:00pm (7:45am registration)
*Shooting test to follow classroom instruction

Sunday Classes:
12:00pm-7:00pm (11:30am registration)

Requirements:

1. Must be 21 years or older
2. Valid SC Driver’s License with current address on the front
3. Notepad and pen
4. Firearm (we strongly recommend the firearm you plan on carrying)
5. Ammunition – 50 rounds
6. Hearing protection
7. Eye protection
